VAN GOGH LIGHTS

When building the Rivers Edge table, I kept the Walnut cut-offs left over from the slabs. I always had the idea of using the extra pieces in a light fixture. After building my wife’s Shattered River dining table it felt natural that the walnut, Van Gogh light should go in our own home. Both the light and table hold sentimental significance for our family, as both pieces came from trees on The Art Farm.

I utilized a broken tow-chain, painted brown, to suspend the light from the ceiling, connected to S hooks. Brown electrical wire blended perfectly with the chain to hide the wiring that leads from the top of the light to the ceiling.
