“KEENELAND’S EDGE” DINING TABLE

Our client reached out requesting a live-edge table for her NYC apartment. We went hunting for the right slab and found a unique story hidden in this piece. Our lumber-guy felled this beautiful walnut tree from the backside of Keeneland Racetrack, in Lexington KY. We contacted the track in hopes of setting up a marketing photoshoot on the grounds. From the backside of this horse track, straight to the Big Apple, we wanted to give our client more than a dining table, but a piece of art and Kentucky history.

The walnut slab top is 7’ long, about 36” wide, and 2” thick. The 3/8”x3” steal bases are recessed into the bottom of the slab.
