DRIFTWOOD LIGHT

My wife Robin and I conceptualized the design for this chandelier based on the clients request for a rustic/industrial style, without knowing if it would be possible to find a tree stump to match the design. As fate had it, the clients would come to find this driftwood stump being used as decoration in the landscaping of a local restaurant. After denying offers to sell the stump in the past, the owner of the restaurant agreed to let our clients purchase the stump for this project.

The wiring for the 8 lights is strategically hidden in the hollow of the tree stump. The light is suspended from the ceiling with piano wire, connected to an aluminum ring made by my friend and collaborator, Danny Downs.
